football player off season programming
Hello
i am looking for a new program and i was thinking about the bill starr 5X5 (with PC instead of the BOR)
before i buy it i want to make sure it will fit me.
i am a professional soccer goalkeeper (need to be strong,
fast, jump high, good agility etc)
i am working with decathlon coach that work with me on the athleticism
but i think my work in the gym is not good enough.
so far i am doing
4 soccer training
2 tack&field
2 gym
at the gym i am doing
A)
4 reps max weight (115 kg)
5 reps max weight (110)
all the way to 10 reps and minus 5 every time.
weighted jump squat
10*3 (60 kg)
overhead press
same like squat (start from 60 kg)
B)
front squat
same pyramyd (start from 4 reps with 90 kg until 10 reps minus 5 kg
each set)
RDL 10*3 (100kg)
lunges
3*15 (40 kg)
bench press same pyramyd (start from 4 reps of 90 minus 5 each set)
thanks

It's not the worst thing ever, but could probably be simpler. I'd rather see you start workout B with Deadlifts and then front squat as assistance if you want to front squat.
Are you making progress?
