One of the Good Ones
So my family and I recently relocated and, among the many joys of moving, we have to get set up with a new medical network. This process is a pain in the rear end (another topic), but I’m pleasantly surprised by my wife’s new doctor.
She asked my wife what she does for exercise, and my wife responded that she likes weightlifting and yoga. In the past, this is where most doctors would say, “What?! No cardio? At 41 yrs old you need to stop picking up heavy stuff.” Or something to that effect. Instead this doctor told my wife that she needs to lift MORE. She told her her frame is very small (she is quite petite), and this will increase her risk of bone density issues as she ages. She told her to prioritize weightlifting.
So there you go. Either this doc is an anomaly, or the paradigm is changing.

I'll go with the Anomaly explanation.
