    Hello,

I am a novice trainee who is doing SS for the second time, and above is my starting weights. I seem to not have much trouble with these weights, but I still wanted to start at a weight that wasn't over estimating my strength. I was wondering if there is any significant issue with programming in two 3x5 sets of bench and two 3x5 sets of press per week. I am willing to go to the gym more often even if it means just going there to do one exercise. Looking for a professional opinion on this as I am finding mixed information regarding this being implemented into SS specifically.

    Thank you,
    Grady B Dimond

Do the program as written. Make sure you've properly accounted for The First Three Questions. When your ability to progress every workout in press and bench is done, after re-setting and working back up one time, and you stall again - then, if you still want to do two bench and two press workouts a week, move to a four day split in which you bench and press each of your two upper body days.

Okay, I will do the program as it is written.
