my question is how do you train for these really... is 5/3/1 or SS linear progression possible?

i've noticed that chinning correlates to stronger bicep curls but is that enough?

    OMG is that for real?

apart from the fact that I can't believe there seems to be a competition for Barbell curls, how the fuck would that be considered "strict" BB curl?
    he swung that thing up.

I've got a theory on how to get good at it.
    stay with me here..

people who want to squat big numbers seem to do squats.
people who want to bench big number seem to do bench press.

Now I'm no coach, and perhaps it would be a good idea for YOU to post this thread in the RIP Q&A section for more details, but I think that if you want to be champion of curling in National Curling championships, you should do curls.

^ yup thats where i heard it from and i lurked on youtube and was surprised it was still in a competition of some sort (people wearing singlets just to curl).

i'm kinda uneasy with doug's program though coz he somehow tweaked it but i cant find him being the one saying it just to be sure.

It all depends on whether you're a thrower, a skip or a sweeper, eh. I'm sure MazdaMatt will explain, eh.

Glenn Pendlay: "I never curl but on a bet once I did 235lbs for a set of 8 on the barbell curl with fairly good form."

I realise Pendlay is ridiculously strong, but I imagine the principle of not necessarily needing to curl remains the same.
