    Default What to do with one day?

    • starting strength seminar december 2024
    • starting strength seminar february 2025
    I go two days a week, but this week the dentist and Pain killers kept me back......

    My split
    Tue:
    Bench, DeadLift, Dumb bell press(medium weight), Chins

    Fri:
    Press, Squat, Dumb bell bench(medium weight, chins


    Decided to go for more today(Thur), this will be my only day this week. My theory was that pushing harder when you are only able to make one day that week was better than going normal. Is this true?

    Today's routine:
    ....Press
    45x5x1
    65x5x1
    95x5x1
    135x5x3(my personal best)

    ....Squat
    45x8x1
    95x6x1
    135x5x3(light)

    ....Dumbell bench
    45x5x1
    65x5x3

    ....Dumbell incline
    25x5x1
    45x5x1

    Chins
    body x 5 x 1
    +10x5x2

    Very broad question, but in general - yes. If you don't have to worry about negative carryover to other training days then you can feel free to push a little harder than normal
