    Mark:
Last Sunday morningI trained (squats/bench press/pullups) I went home feeling like I always do, fine. I felt fine all day long. Then Monday I woke up with an unusual (at least for me) pain in my shoulder. The pain is in the back of my shoulder and it only happens when I rotate my shoulder externally. It's not horrible, but definitely uncomfortable. Today (Tuesday) I woke up and the pain is sitll there, though it seems a little better. I decided to skip tonight's training and hopefully train on Wednesday night.
What's your opinion on this? Should I wait any longer before I train? My next training includes the Press. Should I be extra careful on that or the other exercises? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. The last thing I want to do is something stupid and get seriously injured.

With this type of onset, it seems likely that you have an inflammation situation in your rotator cuff, possibly from a poorly controlled deceleration/drop on your pullups. Load up on ibuprofen and get back to training as soon as you can, paying closer attention to technique.

This sounds very similar to an injury I had occur about 6 years ago. In my case, I ended up with teres minor and infraspinatus tears. If you notice the posture of your hurt shoulder slumping forward over the next few weeks you should go consult an orthopod. It's probably nothing a little PT can't fix.
