    Hi coach,

I have a question about the charts in PPST.

If I understand it correctly for a 165 pound novice trainee a 1rm Squat of 205 at the end of 3 to 9 months should be a reasonble expectation. Would a 3x5 squat then be something like 180?

I ask this because I have finished my 3rd week and 3x5x159.5 squat last friday was extremely hard already. I started out at 110. Stalling seems a bit early when I have at least 2 months progress waiting for me. I was wondering maybe my starting weight was to heavy or my progression too agressive. I am thinking about resetting to 137,5 and start from there again, which will cost me about a week.

    Thanks

    Jeroen

There are about 30 reasons why your results will not exactly match the averages in PPST. You can interpolate the singles down into 3RM and 5RM if you want to, but everybody will be slightly different there as well, for about 20 reasons.
