    Hey SS staff,
I am new to this program. I had been working out with a friend of mine for the last couple weeks, but he has been lifting for a couple of years and is miles ahead of me. The other day I found SS, and decided to try it. I like the concept, and it's rigid structure. My only reservation is that it is meant for only three days a week. I enjoy going to the gym Monday through Friday. I understand that the skipped days are to let my body recover, but I've gotten pretty used to going 5 days a week. My question is what should I do on the extra two days. Should I just skip rest days, or should I do some targeted exercises like scull crushers, curls, core work?

    Thanks for any help

The gym have a couch? Sit on the couch. Take a nap. Eat a snack.

If you're skinny like I was, eat 3 snacks. Maybe sit in the hot tub or the sauna.

And now you begin to understand the difference between exercising and training, young grasshopper.

It's not about what you want to do it's about what you need to do.
