I have a protruding L5-S1 and the doc has put me on rest. It is touching the nerve enought to cause pain 24/7 and I can't train through it. However, I have been cleared to bench press because it has minimal spinal load. I'm curious about any other barbell exercise with minimal spinal load.

    Any ideas? Thanks.

I live in South Korea and only have a basic bench, and squat rack and a cable machine that is built kinda small at my disposal.

Chest supported rows would work in theory, might still be painfull in practice, iunno.

Not strong enough to do chins and no bar to do so. No dip station available. No way to do reverse hypers.

I should have mentioned I live in South Korea and the only thing I have available is barbells and some adjustabel dumbells up to 20 lbs.
