Default Deadlift Form Check - 390 lbs

Is my form good enough to keep putting weight on the bar?

As it's starting to actually get heavy, I am concerned about maintaining back extension.

    Thank you,

This is a little extended as you start the pull. Are you able to get a flat back and maintain it for warm ups? Like, was your last warm up flat for the entire rep?

I can record my next warm up (on Wednesday) to check, but I think so, yes - my back is flat for warm ups and lower weights. When I look at old videos (225, 300, etc.) there looks to be less back rounding.

Sounds good. Post it here after Wednesdays workout. You have probably let the technique drift with more and more flexion without staying on it.

Worked hard to keep my back in extension; I think this week's work set looks marginally better than last's. I was definitely more aggressive this week which made the pull easier.

    Videos below:
    135 lb warm up
    225 lb warm up
    315 lb warm up
    365 lb warm up
    395 lb work set

These were definitely better. You clearly have the strength to hold your back in extension. Must have just been a focus issue. Keep being aggressive and tight with your back, and you should be able to progress just fine.

Thank you, both. I'll keep that back in extension and work on the exhale.
