    Default RDL Stance vs Deadlift

Hi Rip, I've begun introducing RDL's into my TM program, at 3 sets of 10 (at about 1/3 of my DL weight at present). I pull it from the floor (not rack) so the first rep is 100% deadlift. I use my regular deadlift stance.

However, as the set goes on, I find myself widening my feet nearly every rep til about the 10th rep my feet are almost as wide as a squat. To do long sets of RDL's with my regular DL stance just feels wrong and uncomfortable, with a wider stance feeling much more natural and also I feel it much more in my hammies with a wider stance.

In you rexperience, is this normal for long RDL sets? Or does it mean my standard DL stance is too narrow? Or I should ignore the uncomfortable feeling and keep the narrower DL stance for the whole set? I'm 6'2 with long arms and longish legs, 220lb

    Thanks a bunch, as usual!

I've never noticed myself or anyone else doing this. Perhaps your regular deadlift stance feels uncomfortable because your working some stuff that needs to be worked, although the ability to be specific here eludes me. Just make yourself hold the stance next time and revel in the discomfort. Then we'll see what new place gets sore.
