This sounds like a great idea. Do you have the kids do this too, with one of the badly bent, 28lb bars?
I perform an exercise which I have discovered for myself and I am not sure if it is practiced by others or has an established name. Naturally, I want to find out more and that is the reason for my writing.
What I do is put a light barbell on my traps and descend into a full squat. From the hole I initiate a jump and as my lower body reaches terminal extension, I finish the movement with a behind the neck press. The reason for the press is primarily to dampen the impact of the jump.
I will certainly appreciate the thoughts from the SS coaches, staff, and other board members.
Regards,
Orphan

If one were to label it, it would probably be something in the style of "exaggerated behind the neck push-press". Totally serious.
I was thinking "behind the neck jumping thruster." Eugene never ceases to provide entertainment.
Sounds like it should be called "CrossFit."
