Pec tear = little or no bench. Press only, three times a week?
Hey Andy.
I was wondering how you would advise I program presses if I can't really bench? Pec tear last July was only minor but being 43, after a quick chat with Rip in his Q&A about the increase risk of a another tear I don't really feel the need to risk it again.
I was thinking something along the lines of 5x5 press on Tuesday and 1x5 Saturday with light close grip bench mid week (assuming that's not too risky - I don't like the idea of ignoring the pecs entirely.)
I've tried dips last few weeks and while ok at first, my shoulder is really not liking them - I suspect I'm prone to impingement issues (partial supra tendon tear about 12 years ago.)
