I need an additional 1/4 inches on my adipowers to compensate for my lack of ankle mobility.

    How to achieve that?

    Put these under your soles.

    Inserts are available.

I just bought these because I heard they mold inside the shoe.

    Amazon.com : G&W Heel Lift - Clearly Adjustable - Medium - Men 7-1/2 - 9, Women 8 - 10 (60mm, 2-3/8'' wide) : Clearly Adjustable Heel Lifts : Beauty

I didn't want inserts, I wanted something that goes outside... but I also wanted something that I can take on and off, not glued permanently.

    Any other suggestions?

Take it to a cobbler, he will add hard rubber to the sole at any height you want, but it's not something you can take on and off. Buy another shoe and you can change pairs whenever you want. The result might be like this (found with 0.213443221 minutes of google-fu):

Cool, I didn't know a cobbler could do that. I'd like to experiment with something reversible first. Maybe after my surgery i won't need it anymore.

A cobbler may be able to do something that is reversible, I would check with one or a few to see what they can do.

Modifications to sneakers are touchy. My grandfather was a shoe maker and wouldn't go near them. Adipowers are a whole different beast on top of that. The best thing he might be able to do is glue a shim on the bottom and maybe tack it in for extra bite. 1/4" isn't even worth that. An insert'd probably do it.

You could do what someone already suggested in the recovery section: buy a cheap powerlift 2.0 or a rogue do-win and get it cobbled to the raise you need. If you like it, then take the adipower to the cobbler.
