where you go into the gym feeling pretty good and as soon as you get to your work sets everything feels excessively heavy? Typically, I can get some extra energy by cranking Disturbed just a bit louder on the radio...not today. The longer I lift, the more I understand and appreciate that Gravity is a cruel mistress.

I got all 3 sets of 5 at 365 on the squat...the third set was UGLY but I'm counting it. Monday will be better...370 is going to be picture perfect and so fantastically motivating. I'll be cranking some Disturbed "Indestructible"...oh yeah!

Thanks for allowing me a venue to rant.

Yeah. The longer I lift, the more I realize that getting more amped up beyond a certain point doesn't really do shit for moving weights. YMMV.

That would be what I call a "high gravity day". Seems we have quite a few of them in the UK.

    Yep. Sounds very familiar.

That said, getting amped up really helps on PR attempts.

Amon Amarth is definitely on my playlist....not that one (maybe after a couple more listens though) but "Twilight of the Thunder God".

I think music helps me focus by eliminating useless thought noise in my head.

Try training to Brian Eno's Music for Airports. Best training run I ever had. John Hanley approved.

Anything other than Disturbed will be fine.
