    Hey Everyone,

This is my first post. I've been working out in a HIT style for quite some time but I'm getting tired of going to failure and burning myself out. So I decided to give SS a try. The issue I have is that I workout at home. So I can DL, BP, Press and PC but I don't have a way to get the bar on my back for squats. I guess I could do Goblet squats with heavy dumbbells instead. I'm not training to be a powerlifter or anything. Just want to get as strong as possible. Does anyone have any other ideas or options? Thanks for your time!

    Jim

You can't do the program without squats. Find a way to do it.

Well, there is that exception for airline pilots who work out in hotel fitness centers, right?

I have a pair of Valor squat stands, which are small, movable, and have been pretty darn sturdy so far. I think you could easily set them up in just about any house no matter what room you work out in.

I have the same. BD-9 is the model number, and it allows for squatting, bench press, and has catches for failed reps. I train in the damn 11 x 11 loft in my condo.

I also built a set out of 2 x 4's, 5-gallon buckets, and concrete for my lady friend.

If you want to squat, you will find a way. If you don't squat, you're a pussy.

LOL. Thanks guys. I'm not a pussy. The valor squat stands look good. I will go that route.

Yup, I have a pair also. The BD-8. Also have the DA-7 bench. As Waffle said, they are small and movable. Perfect for the second room where I trained. We live in an apartment hence why I got them.

I'd definitely opt for BD-9 over BD-8. Get it from Wayfair and you'll get 10% off and free shipping.
