Did you deadlift at all during the base mesocycle?
I just finished the Base Mesocyle only. I did little pressing and some chin type movements in the first 2 weeks and none in the 3rd. Got some bicep/arm pain on the last workout and my max attempt workout. I've retested my squat but have not retested deadlift and front squat yet.
Age 31
BW at start 266
ended at 270-275 (belt size did not change!)
old squat PR 345 (argument could be made that it was higher, but the fact is I've made 345 and missed 355)
old deadlift PR 375
old front squat PR 275
New squat PR 385
after 3 week base meso... included 1 week intro and followed by 1 week rest/peak/max attempt. Missed 400 attempt.

I saw some, but not much, chatter on Smolov and similar programs on this forum when I was trying to decide what to do... so I thought I'd throw my results out there and maybe some good discussion or comments will come.
I know my numbers are shit and I could get them with all kinds of programs. But... progress is progress so it's probably worth some discussion.
