    Default Hip Flexor Pain

    Hello Mark!

For the past month or so I've been getting pain in my left hip flexor before (during dynamic stretching of the hip flexor) and during the squat. I've tried dynamic stretching before squatting and I've tried just going into squatting without it. I do warm up sets obviously on squats and as the weight increases the pain escalates.

It is very acute. It doesn't last long after I've squatted, less than an hour and the pain goes away. I've tried stretching it after the workout, foam rolling it and yet the pain still is there the next workout. It only hurts when I squat, not any other exercise. It hurts deep in the hole (no homo)lol

I'm not sure what this is caused by because I've been squatting for 8 months and haven't had this problem until recently. I've done SS and now Im on Madcows. Keep in mind I've played soccer for a large portion of my life and used primarily my right foot to kick, not sure if this is relevant

What can I do to make the pain go away?

    Thanks alot Mark!

Post a video of your squats. I bet your knees are sliding forward at the bottom.

Just for the record, saying "ho homo" here, after something that isn't in any way necessarily more "homo" than "hetero" makes you look far more "homo" than if you hadn't. Just saying.

And yes, t0rment was spot on - knees coming way forwards ... in a video taken a month before you noticed any problems. Good chance it's a lot worse now.

Post a recent video. Not much point giving form check advice on something 2 months out of date.

Really? It doesn't appear to me the knees are "way" forward past the toes...

I told you I am unable to post a recent one. No camera atm.

The pain is going away slowly with each workout.

Absurd excuse. Buy one. Borrow one. It's not hard. It's not 1980.

If you do think it's because my knees are too far forward what do I do to correct this? Just sit back more?
