Anyone used this? I tried floor presses and was surprised at how much better I could set my upper back compared to a normal bench.

Would this bigger bench pad do the same thing? Would it be safer/healthier as advertised?

    Thanks in advance.

This looks interesting. I have no experience with it. I guess the premise is that you can set your back and nothing moves around as can happen on a conventional bench?

There is one at the gym I go to. It is huge. It is so wide it is basically a floor press for me (a girl), since it blocks my arms from fully descending and it is so high I have a hard time reaching the floor. The really big guys seem to like it, but none of the competitive or serious lifters use it after playing around the first few weeks.

The vast majority of powerlifting federations use a much harder pad in their competition benches. So if you want to compete, this is a concern.

I have not used this, but I have used a similar pad. Personally, it throws me off and I can set up plenty tight on a regular bench, and not have it feel weird if I use a different bench than usual.
