I’m starting my NLP and I’ll have 24 weeks till I have to take my fitness test. The test is fairly easy, just a 1.5 mile run and a 500 meter row. And obviously once I start the academy my programming will be out of my hands for six months. I was planning on running the LP for 16 weeks and then adjusting to incorporate cardio to prepare for the test and the academy. Has anyone else had to do something similar or have advice on working cardio in?

And since I’m sure it’ll be asked,
    6’
    230lbs(roughly 27%bf)
    37 yrs old
    End of week 1 #’s
    Squat: 155
    Dead: 225
    Press: 80
    Bench: 135

That should be plenty of time to ramp up your cardio and hit your targets. The strength you gain from doing the NLP will help you as well. The cardio will be a more submaximal effort for your muscles.

Oh yes, that will work. Showing a government employee how he is wrong works every time!

Oh, I don't expect the policy to change. But the individuals I might be able to sway to the strong side.
