    Hello guys,
A new kid joined my gym
    He is 18 y/o, 186 cm (~6feet2), 112kg ~247lbs
He is wanting to specialize in strength and compete in powerlifting in the future.
During the last years he has done some bodybuilding and Olympic weightlifting.
When I tried to assess his strength he was able to:
    - Squat 185kg (~405lbs) for 5 and it was not a true max
    - Deadlift 200kg (440lbs) for 5
    - Bench 122Kg (~280lbs) for 5
    - OHP 100kg (~220lbs) for 5

I was thinking to start him on the Texas method directly given his strength levels. However, I have doubts... Considering he had never done a true NLP would he still benefit from NLP for few months at least?
    What do you think?
    Thanks for the help.

If he has never done the NLP, the potential for a 600 squat etc. on NLP is there for this kid. The level of training advancement is not determined by strength, but by the ability to adapt.
