The magic cue for me
This is my second attempt at Starting Strength. I did it for about three months at the end of 2008, pussed out most of 2009, and got back into SS at the beginning of this year.
During my last go-around, my squats started really looking like crap at around 260 work sets. My knees (especially my left) would come in, and I would good-morning the squat really badly. I just couldn't figure out how to keep my chest up when the weight got heavy (for me).
Recently I have discovered the magical cue that keeps everything tight and keeps my squat form looking good: "ELBOWS UP!" My training partner yells this on just about every rep, and when he's not there to yell it, I yell it in my head. Keeping my elbows up keeps my whole back tight, and I no longer good-morning the squat.

Thanks for sharing, Jeremy. I'll have to try that for myself!
