Default Advice on horse stall mats under folding rack

Hi, I’m re-starting strength in my soon-to-be-ready garage gym in Dublin, Ireland.

Due to space constraints I’m getting a rack very similar to the Rogue Folding Rack. I’m wondering if I should install the rack to fold out onto the solid concrete surface or would I be ok with installing 3/4” horse stall mats underneath where the rack folds out, as part of larger area coverage?

Does anyone have a similar setup or advice in this direction?

    Thanks,
    Sean

I have the Rogue wall mount folding rack. Because of the perimeter block stem wall above the footing, I could not install it low enough for the bottom of the verticals to sit almost on the floor slab as Rogue specifies. As such, it is elevated.

This hasn’t been a problem for me. If the unit is anchored into the wall correctly and securely and all the bolts are tightened, you shouldn’t have a problem. I also don’t see any issue with it sitting on mats. That material is pretty dense.
