    Default Knee Slide & Squat Depth

    I'm working on "freezing my knees" and I know this is still sloppy. These small town gyms lack essential equipment like the TUBOW, so I'll get to using one when I get back home.

    Rip, if you're checking this, do you think that squatting a little too deep is also a factor in my knee slide? This thought occurred to me after watching about a dozen times.

    The first thing you can do is stop looking at the mirror. Once the head goes up, the chest goes up, and the knees slide forward. But the main thing is that the knees just aren't being shoved out hard enough here. A view from behind would confirm

    You're definitely "driving past" the stretch reflex. Knees harder out will correct this by tightening the adductors at the bottom.
