    Unhappy Buckling Knee

Has anyone here ever experienced this weird condition? If I put weight on my right leg with my knee bent (e.g.climbing stairs, walking, etc...............don't even ask about quick movements) my knee buckles. My PCP sent me to a neurologist who sent me for an MRI (lumbar spine). There were some protruding discs and arthritis, but nothing worse than 10 yrs ago. Now he wants me to get an MRI of my pelvis. I don't really understand where he's going with this. I am tempted to consult an orthopod, but I thought that I would ask here first because I am older (75 this month). The lack of physical activity is killing me.

I would see a specialist and try to see what the root case is, till then I would do what I could that did not end up being to physically demanding. I have issues with both my pelvises that causes problems with both my knees.I was born with the issues. However squatting heavy and pulling heavy is the only thing that has ever eliminated any pain in my inner knees and hips. I'm much younger then you tho, but I know if I was your age I would always weigh on the side of caution and try do what I could in order to find the root cause.

Thank you for your reply SciFat. I should have been clearer. The weird thing is that there is no pain, therefore........no warning! The only pain is when I hit the floor, and it's not in my knee. Thanks again for answering.
