Today was my intensity day on TM. I didn't sleep well, and could not get loose this morning. Hips, knees, and lower back hurt. I felt all of my 35 years and more.

Warmup: 5 min rowing, 10 min foam roller

Squat: barX5/barX5/barX5/135X5/135x5/225X5/275X5 still felt tight and joints hurt/ 315X1 this felt bad, I thought about stopping/ 365X1/385X1/405X1

I thought about doing a couple more singles at 405, but decided to call it a day. 405 is a 1 rep PR for me.

Last intensity day I did two triples at 390, so I feel like last week was a better week, but today I actually hit a 1 rep PR.

I am disappointed that I didn't make progress in one sense, but am focusing on the fact that I hit a 1 rep PR.

Anyone else have days like this?

Volume day is going well, hit 5X5 @ 350 this week.

Exactly. I dont think your supposed to expect much progress on intensity day.

Progress on your volume day shows your not stuck. If your intensity day is feeling stagant why not try a different rep range?

Instead of 1x405, why not 5x400 or 1x410 (you said you could do a some more singles at 405, so perhaps 1x410 is possible).

I just did 4 weeks of 1X5 on intensity day before switching to triples last week. I was planning on hitting a couple more triples today, then moving to doubles next week.
