    Default Shoes: what exercises

    Hey

Agter using Chucks for a while, i'm finally planning on buying a pair of real training shoes.

I got my eyes set on some Adidas Power Perfect II.
Lots of places these are mentioned as nice squat shoes.

My question is, if you guys only use shoes like these for squat, or if you use them for the other basic SS lifts too?

Maybe not deadlift? I usually go socks only on that one - is that a good idea?

    Thanks

    1. Search function, use it. This has been discussed more times than I can count.
    2. I wear mine for all exercises (VS Athletics), although they are higher than recommended by Rip. YMMV.

I wear on all lifts, I can deadlift better with WL shoes than flat shoes. I can press slightly better with flat shoes, but I cannot be bothered to remove them.

I got the Power Perfect IIs and they are nice. At the beginning i pulled in chucks and benched in running shoes, but somewhere along the line i switched completly to WL shoes and never looked back.
The only thing that changes is your deadlift starting position and you have to test if it benefits you or not.
