    Default Yet another squat form check (from a total noob)

    • starting strength seminar april 2025
    Good afternoon all. I am new to the forum and am quite new to lifting as a whole. I have been working on my form with my Starting Strength book, and I would appreciate any advice the group might be able to give me on my form. It seems common to post a video to youtube and link it here, so please let me know what you think.

    It looks to me like the bar is up high on your back. Read the SS squat chapter again on bar position and set the bar below the spine on your scapula.

    You should also tell your cameraman to use more conventional terminology such as "you got this bro" and "it's all you". And "yeah buddy!"

    You also look kinda hunched over at the top. That will probably be fixed when you set the bar in the correct position and follow the other stuff that SixSC mentioned.
