Good set of reasons for belonging to an SS gym, nicely written. I’ve been following SS, Practical Programing, The Barbell Prescription and the website for 12 years now. I workout 2x a week for 90 minutes. But without an SS gym in my area I’m figuring it out on my own. I’m 73 yo and am in better shape (much better) than when I started at age 61, but I haven’t made the kind of progress you have. Guess I need some online coaching!

Gene, Just wanted to chime in to say hi and that I'm very glad you're still here. I'm also back to lifting after way too much time away, and have been at Starting Strength Plano for the last 6 months. So far so good, but a long way yet to go. I've hit new PRs over what I did 12 years ago, so there's that. It's a pity to see all the time wasted on the way (as a song once said), but if the best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago, then the second best time is today.
