Thread: Squat form check

    Default Squat form check

    • starting strength seminar august 2024
    • starting strength seminar october 2024
    • starting strength seminar december 2024
    PLs let me know how my squat form is.

    I've been trying to stretch my hip flexors to get greater depth.

    I gather that this is your first week at it. Have you read the books? Have you watched the videos?

    You are really slender. You must eat if you wish to get strong.

    It is difficult to get depth with an empty bar. Your hips are not at depth.

    The bar looks too high even for a high bar squat. In fact it is so high it is a danger to your neck.

    Read the 3rd edition of Starting Strength at least on the Squat and then try some more and video tape them.

    I think you need to get a copy of Starting Strength and read it. That'd help at the moment more than anything else we can tell you.
