The bar is now starting to slip out of my fingers. Should I stick with it to strengthen my grip or reverse one hand and ramp up the weight?

    I'm at 120kg. I weigh around 170lbs.

I say reverse it if the grip is slipping, just use double overhand for your warmup sets. Doing that I can double overhand over 300 lbs now where before it would fail at 240. I wouldn't let the failing grip keep me from progressing because of some imaginary line where you should go to a mixed grip.

I reversed one hand today to test it and my previous PR went up so easily I think I could easily lift another 20kg.

This is common. It's why when people ask when to switch to mixed I say immediately. Then if worried about grip strength, do grip strength work.

i don't think there'd be anything wrong with using straps for work sets and DOH for all warm-ups (and even DOH for the first few reps of work set, if you can)

this also prevents one side from being worked unevenly, since most people don't alternate the supinated hand, and it also prevents a bicep injury in the supinated arm

THis is especially true if you don't compete in powerlifting.
