Not ideal, but we do what we can. You won't be able to lift as much. Watch your back. Chest up, feet flat, tight gut. If weather permits, set up a press rack on the driveway or in the back yard.
I've recently restarted my lifting program (54 years old)
The ceiling in my basement is a bit low for standing press (I keep banging pipes/etc.)
Can a seated press be subbed for a standing press?

PS: Amazing the difference just a few weeks makes on your attitude.

I do seated press because of MS. I switched after nearly falling over backwards with 108 lb overhead. I just could not push myself to heavier weight due to stability problems. I have been able to push myself to a single at 150 lb since making the switch and I keep making positive progress. My shoulders have never felt better or stronger. I know it it not ideal but I feel like I have made the right choice for myself and am making good progress. Good luck with whatever you decide!
Seated Press are great, because it will give support to our back and our back will remain straight during the reps. I personally do the seated press to avoid any back injury.
