    ^ This. I have a hard time maintaining my grip when I do pulling movements for reps.

    Hold your last deadlift rep for time.

    Jim Wendler recommended Kroc rows (grab biggest dumbbell you can and row it for high reps) to help build grip in 5/3/1. Maybe try a few sets of those after your deadlifts.

    Some grip training advice from Wendler.

    Plate pinches are probably the easiest equipment wise.

    When I missed reps on my deads it was always because of my grip failing...I added in RDLs at 2 sets of 10 and haven't missed a rep since 4/8/11.
