    ...is in line with Rip to an extent. If you find this on facebook you will also find Dan Green and Paul Carter both agreeing. Nice to see after all the pops at Rip recently and especially the Mash and Juggernaut article.

    Here's another. Someone recently linked to a video by Alan Thrall, and I've been watching more of his stuff. He's pretty good. Doesn't agree with Rip 100%, but the important stuff is the same, and he presents it very well.

    He's got videos about press, deadlift, and bench as well.

    I think some of these guys just make this stuff up as they go, to create a perception of value.

    Is the TL;DR of the first video:

    Chest up cue is ok, as long as it doesn't illicit an overly extended lumbar, causing destabilization in the spine? At least that's what I got out of his example near the end where he says;

    Do THIS:

    Not THIS:

    If you go on to he elitefts facebook page you will find them talking a lot about the squat being all HIPS! Dan Green talking too about looking down.

    The chest up cue is only used for people who overemphasize the hip drive and fall forward.

    cheers for posting this. I was misusing chest up almost exactly as he described it. squatted today using his "hydraulic piston" cue and felt much stronger. I was skeptical, but it was good
