I see that fast food works wonders, but what about complete junk food with (apparently) no nutritional value? Stuff like popcorn, candy, cake, chocolate, etc.

    1. Will this help me gain weight?
    2. Will this aid my recovery?

I would only do that as a last resource, but if it makes the lifts go up then doing that for a couple of months won't kill you. But I'm convinced that if you have space in your stomach for a chocolate bar and popcorn, you would be better off filling that space with milk, eggs or big macs.

I don't see how chemicals, preservatives, artificial colors, industrial oils, gluten, etc, would help you with recovery. O.o

Popcorn is a waste of space. But chocolate is great.

You misunderstand the concept of "nutritional value." There is no such thing as "no nutritional value." That's like saying "this soup has no physics"

I don't see how they're going to hurt, if the source of those things has high protein and calories
