Here is an HLM question for ya
If I do it like this:
Mon-3x3
wed-3x5 80%
fri- 4x5
what day would be the "heavy" day? meaning what creates more stress, a 3x3 (9total) or a 4x5 with less weight (but 20 total) ????
does this blow your mind?

No it doesn't.
Sometimes HLM programs blur the line a bit with a TM style set up if your Heavy Day is generally higher intensity and lower volume and your medium day is higher volume and lower intensity. As long as your lifts are going up it doesn't matter. Tonnage will likely be higher with the medium day in this instance. That's fine. Remember the point is to get stronger not abide by the arbitrary guidelines of a particular program. So if your method is increasing your lifts but is not technically "heavy-light-medium" then keep going and adjust down the road as needed.
