York Barbell must have been an awesome place to behold back in those days.

    Default Coach

    Dick "Smitty" Smith

Back in the day, the coaches were always in the background. Not like the attention whores of today.

Maybe.........youtube, video cameras and monitors weren't so widespread as well. I think it has more to do with trying to expose the sport of weightlifting than attention.

Attention whore sounds kind of inimical...... I'm not sure which coaches you are referring to.

    Let us digress.......

Are those york bumper plates in the video? Reminds of the old school eleiko plates. I used an eleiko said couple days ago. Off the bat you can tell.......they last for YEARS. I think the ones I used were 25 years old plus.
