    Default Bread at 25% bf

So, i recently reached out to the programming section about moving my upper lifts to intermediate programming as they were/are stalling at 56kg Press for a triple and 91kg Bench for a triple. Rip asked how much i was eating and its around 2,900cals per. He said i needed to be eating quite abit more. Being 25% bf all i hear is "you shouldnt be eating anywhere near 3,000cals" and stuff like this. I have came up with a daily meal plan that gives me around 3,300cals and fits with my work schedule but i'm not sure i should be consuming so much bread/rice/oats, basically carbs given bf.

    Breakfast
    80g oats + 250ml semi-skim milk + 2 scoops chocolate whey + raisins , coffee.

    Snack
    Egg sandwich
(3 boiled eggs + 2 slices wholemeal bread)
    Apple

    Lunch
120g cooked chicken breast + pouch microwaveable basmati rice + microwaveable bag steam veg

    Snack
    Tuna sandwich
(1 can tuna + 2 slices wholemeal bread)
    Banana

    Dinner
    1 portion homemade chilli con-carne
(Made with 1kg 95% lean ground beef, onion, peppers, beans, mushrooms split over 6 portions)
    + baked potato

Does this look ok for someone of high bf looking to get strong. I need to drive lifts up.
    Squat 120kg x5 reps
    Deadlift 140kg x5reps
    Press 56kg x3reps
    Bench 91kg x3reps
These are my best lifts to date but are somewhat very light in comparison to what i see on this forum.
    I am 37yr old male, 5' 10", 195ish lbs, 25% bf, 39" waist. I also have quite a strenuous/physical occupation rotating across 3 shifts including nightshift where i dont get much sleep/recovery.
    Any recommendtions here, thanks.

There's nothing wrong with carbs. They don't make you fat.

I was looking over some of the posts you've been in on the other forums--I suspect that your biggest problems are probably form problems. I think getting a coach would be a good investment, if you can manage it.

This is an excellent article detailing all that, if you're interested

Cheers for the reply's guys. So, i went to see Carl Raghavan in June and when we went through the lifts didnt say there was anything majorly wrong. My press, i wasnt using my hips so ive really been focusing on that as per 2.0, squat bar position was slightly high, so again, been working on that. Deadlift found i have a kyphotic curve but nothing major and form seemed ok. I do plan on going to see him again after working on these issues and having him there when things are very heavy but its a 6hr drive so i cant get to see him nearly as much as id like. As for nutrition, his advice was lots of dead animal and lots of carbs. I'll continue to work hard in the meantime, eat well and push on until i can get back to see him.

I shall do. Can i ask one last thing Karl. Batchelors Pasta 'n' Sauce, are these ok to consume daily? I've been thinking of using these with the addition of some cooked chicken breast and some microved steam veg it makes a pretty good meal that tastes decent too but there are alot of ingredients. One full pack has 7g fat, 70g carb, 16g protein but 9g sugar

It's ok. Enjoy the Batchelor's Pasta 'n' Sauce. Is that like Spaghettios?

Its basically like a pouch of dry pasta with dried flavoured powder that you mix in a pan of boiling water.

Very tastey and several different flavours. I was thinking of just adding some cooked chicken and steamed veg.

That is interesting. Pretty lowfat too. Doesn't look like they sell in the states. Eat a couple of these per day and you should have no problem driving those lifts up.

Cheers Rob. This is good to hear as they are delicious. The protein content for the pack is 16g'ish. Does this count towards my 200g for the day seen as its from from pasta and not meat?
