Default New Addition to the Home Gym - DIY Weight Sled

Decided I was tired of the recumbent bike for HITT after lifting so added a new way to suffer. With about $65 in materials from the local hardware store and under two hours of labor, I built a a weight sled. Today was the first test and it beat me as expected. It runs relatively smooth on the concrete driveway and asphalt street and I expect this will improve as the runners get worn in. The two holes on the front crossbar allow a battle rope to be quickly looped through for pulling intervals which fit my sport of choice. All in all a nice addition to build some conditioning.

What are these devices holding the pusher poles onto the sled? How are they attached?

The pusher poles are 1" ID black iron pipe fitted into standard 1" floor flanges. Floor flanges are each secured with four 3" lag screws.
