    Default Front Squat Rack - Elbow Mobility Issue

    Having an issue performing front squat/power clean rack position properly. The vids all show the elbow being pushed way forward and the rack position requires the bar rest on the delt- when I push my elbows forward my hands are several inches above my delt - and my wrists would have to be gumby for my fingers to extend that far back. Now, I'm not looking to compete or anything just want to do strength training safely. Is there any issue with having my front squat rack position look more like the overhead press rack position? Is there any issue with using the alternate grip for the front squat - the grip where the hands cross on front of the chest?

    Have you actually tried the position? With weight on the barbell?
