You could go crazy and take some steroids and make the researchers go mad.
Some researchers at a local university are doing some work on weight loss/fat loss.
They are offerring two free in depth body comp tests, spaced around 3 months apart I think. I dont think these are basic caliper ones, but the high-tech sort.
I was wondering what fun I might be able to have with these tests? My BW has been frozen at 80kg for the past few months, despite increasing protein intake & gaining upper body muscle.
But I am still rather rotund in the midsection. Should I try to actually burn some fat or should I try really really hard to bulk up with some swoletrophy orientated programming? Seeing big changes displayed in lab tests would be fun.
You could go crazy and take some steroids and make the researchers go mad.
Start bulking up and use the tests to determine how much fat vs muscle you've been gaining. Would be cool.
Why don't you just stop doing shit like this and start lifting weights?
heres some more details:
What will I have to do?
* Travel to the University of Birmingham School and Sport and Exercise Science – for this, you will have your travel costs reimbursed on arrival.
* Complete a perception test which involves viewing a number of images and giving some simple responses – this takes roughly 15 minutes.
* Complete a short questionnaire – this takes roughly 5 minutes.
* Have a DXA scan free of charge! – this takes roughly 15 minutes and you will be given full clinical debriefing of your results.
* Have a sub-maximal Vo2 uptake test (cardiovascular fitness measure) free of charge! – this takes roughly 10 minutes and is carried out on an exercise bike.
If you struggle with exercise you can opt out of this particular test.
What’s in it for me?

The 2 DXA scans and sub-maximal Vo2 uptake tests you will be offered are gold standard in terms of measuring body composition and fitness. The total charge for these services is normally £200 in total; we’re offering them to you completely free!
