A comparative study: tongue muscle performance in weightlifters and runners

"A Comparative Study: Tongue Muscle Performance in Weightlifters and Runners" is in the top 10 trending articles at PubMed. Note also that apparently runners have much greater tongue endurance while resistance trained athletes are at the low end of the tongue endurance range. Any thoughts Coach?

Trust you'll find some aspect of it absurd, interesting, amusing, jest-provoking or all four.

Stupefying. I'm so happy the department is in possession of The Iowa Oral Performance Instrument (IOPI).

So, playing a wind instrument would be like Crossfit for your tongue?

Lifters have greater tongue strength, but runners have better tongue endurance. I guess that’s not surprising.

But do they report which has more effect on quality of life? I’m going with tongue endurance.
