Default Training deadlift from blocks exclusively

My SS rack clone should be ready in a few days, and I'm currently shopping for weights and a bar. I had considered purchasing bumper plates and building a platform for deadlifts and power cleans, but I'm just not sure it makes sense. I can save a lot of money and floor space by training deadlifts on blocks inside the rack. Also I hope there will be less risk of damage to the tile floor underneath. Another issue is the only barbell I have found weighs 16 kg at 2.2 meters length, and it costs 70 US dollars new. So I guess it is not very sturdy. My current 5 rep back squat is 135 kg and deadlift 180 kg. If I pull right from the top of my foot I'll be adding nearly 6 inches to the range of motion, and I assume I'll be pulling significantly less weight, say under 150 kg. I'm used to stone lifting so I quite like pulling with straight legs and a rounded back. And as far as power cleans go, I guess I'll try pulling from the pins or perhaps just do hang cleans instead.
