    • starting strength seminar december 2024

    First week of SS.

    Very tappy feet on your setup! I did catch a bit of butt wink on a few reps. It was very slight but I'd maybe work on flexibility a bit.

    You are clearly lifting your heel and shifting your weight on to your toes, especially in the hole. Your weight should be evenly distributed on the balls of your feet and heels. As your heel leaves the ground it also looks like your feet are rotating slightly inward as well. The king of cues, "shove knees out" should help with this.

    Consciously lifting your big toes will help to keep you further back on your feet as well. I did this for about the first three weeks and it really helped. Don't recall having to revisit this practice since.

    Seconded. I had exactly the same problem, and shoving my knees out cured it.
