Lower Abdominal Strain
Hi Mark,
Been doing the novice program for about five weeks now. As of last night i was at
Squat:127.5kg 3x5
Press: 62kg 3x5
Powerclean: 97.5kg 5x3 at a bodyweight of about 75kg
everything went well up till about 3am when a dull throbbing pain in my low abdomen woke me up and kept me from fully regaining my sleep.Saw a doctor this morning and he reckons it's an ab strain,his recovery solution was to stop everything for"as long as it takes". I have never had this kind of injury before it's pretty uncomfortable,how long can i expect to take to recover, and what kind of stuff have you found works best?most importantly would it be out and out stupid to just go on tomorrow night?

Since I'm not there and I'm not a doctor of internal medicine, I can't say. But muscles heal quickly. If it doesn't, it may be something else.
