Default Advanced Novice Squats for Masters

    Hi there.
Just after some practical advice please regarding failing last reps on squats.
3 sessions ago, I missed the last rep at 141kg x 5- filmed and it was a 3 second grinder. Went up a kilo the next session- same again. Yesterday tried 143kg but failed at 4 on a good 4 second grind. I hate taking load off the bar so just after some feedback. Just to note,
Squats have an 80% light day with 2 days pushing weight up on first set with 2 back offs. Think I should push my weight up to 90kg or 200lbs as I don’t mind being solid for my height.
    Stats
    46 Male
    Five feet Five
    86 kgs
    3500-4000 balanced cals per day
    250-300gms protein
6-8 hours sleep with weekend naps when I can
Work 60 hour weeks in the mining industry
All work sets filmed and critiqued during session- form is good.
    Thanks Guys

Thanks Rip. Much appreciated. I will work on this cue up through the warm up sets.
I have one more question please. Is it worth pushing my body weight up at my height to 205lbs- I’m noticing a nice increase in weight on a monthly basis.
I would like to say Thank You to all at Starting Strength. It really is the most valuable knowledge when it comes to physical and mental transformation.
    Thanks Rip

I don't know. Get up to 105 and see if you like it. But your lifts are pretty low right now.

Thanks. So the advice would be to keep adding weight to the squat and work on Staying In The Hips?

Thank you Rip. So your advice would be continue adding weight and work on Staying In The Hips- or same weight aiming for all 5 reps then increase?

Worked on staying in the hips and keeping my “tits” pointed at the floor.
Anything else I need to improve.
I also widened my grip on the bar by 1 inch which seemed to stop me cranking my chest up on the drive.
