    hey i have a question for all you about warm up sets. is it neccessary to do all five warm up sets foor a very low weight? for example if someone was squatting 95 lbs would they need to do 45x5x2, 65x4 and 85x2 and then the work sets?

    If 95 pounds feels heavy to you, then it's a good idea to do warm-ups.

    It depends. If someone is squatting a low weight because they're old and frail, then a thorough warmup is smart. If you're young and healthy and it's pretty warm outside, you might be able to get away with an abbreviated warmup.
