Default Bench Pad - How Wide is Too Wide?

    Hello!

I've ordered this flat bench on Amazon yesterday evening but I'm afraid it might be too wide (19'' / 48.26 cm).

There isn't exactly a lot of choice in Italy, it was either this one, the Reebok one or the Gorilla Sports.
For the record the Gorilla wasn't available and the Reebok did not convince me. (Reebok measurements: Product Dimensions: 55 x 17 x 27 inches ; 43 pounds)

    So back to the Adidas.

    adidas Performance Flat Training Bench
    Measurements: 44 by 19 by 17 inches
Suggested weight limit: 600 lbs (however, passed ASTM testing to 1000 lbs)

I started to think that this Adidas bench might be too wide for bench pressing, do you guys have any experience with that width?

    Thanks in advance
    Peter

The feet of the bench are 19". The pad is probably 10"-12". You'll be fine.

That bench pad is only 12" wide. There isn't a bench in creation with a 19" width.

Thanks guys, I can't believe I missed this detail.

What about this one? I found it on Amazon, 75'' width.

I would steer clear of spring mattresses. Go with the California King Waterbed. Your shoulders will dig in better plus the instability will work your core while you sleep.
