    One working set:

One thing I notice right away is that I am not getting my back locked properly to start. I have been working on this recently, but I can't seem to get it right during the "chest up" phase of my set up without also dropping my hips. Any tips are most welcome.

Try starting with your hips higher. It looks like your hips rise before the bar comes off the ground. Also the bar might be too far forward if your hips are dropping to touch your shins to the bar.

I'm new to the forum, please don't grill me if I said anything wrong. I'm still learning...

TOWL, You already identified the main problem with these pulls. More squeezing of the chest to set the back.

As I think about this, in addition to the back issue, I am raising my hips to start (as khop said) because I am pulling the knees back to avoid dragging the bar across my shins. I need to bite the bullet and just take it across my shins. That should keep my hips in place and let me really focus on locking my back.
