    - Age, Gender, current training status: 20, male, new to strength training (been a ‘curler’ for a few month previous)

    - Chief Complaint : Whenever I squat, deadlift or barbell row I get a pain in my lower back

    - Narrative describing the mechanism of injury: About 2 month ago I deadlifted with bad form I think, I got upto 140kg and I put my back out for a few days. This maybe the cause im not sure. But it’s the only thing I can think of, but mainly I think its weak erectors and PC

    - Pain straight after: squats about a 5; deadlifts about an 8 and rows 2

    - Describe the pain dull, but when I finish my deadlifts I feel my back pumped and im walking over like an old man

    - What makes it better? Sitting down, cracking back
    - What makes it worse? Walking makes it sore
    - How do your symptoms behave throughout the day? Back is abit stiff, sometime when I walk I feel something near my tailbone clicking and popping

    - Signs and Symptoms no bruising or anything like that. But I feel that it is hindering my squats and deadlifts
So whenever I squat, deadlift or row I get lower back pain, it is worse when I deadlift but I feel it is stopping me from progressing on my squats and deadlift (I can cope with it when I row). I don't know if its muscular or tendon etc, but whenever i pull my ass up (arch my lower back) its very sore. Bit of background i live a quite sedentary life with being a student, and i do think ive got quite a weak posterior chain (I've got a little bit ass muscle but its not very wide, and my hamstrings are quite 'small')

I think my technique is wrong when i low-bar squat (but when i high bar its there but not as much), i used to do high bar squats i got to 100kg but then stopped training for a while and decided to do SS. When I've got the 75kg low bar i just feel im leaning way to much forward. After ive finished my squats when Im walking back to my car im stiff and sore. I see knees coming forward and i dont think i keep my chest up, i also feel my quads being worked alot i dont feel like my PC and hamstrings are being used

(Yes i know shit quality and shit angle, but it was the best i could do)

Whenever I've finished my deadlifts (I'll try and get a vid in 2days) my back muscles feel like they are 'pumping' and im hobbling around like an old man (it hurts to walk) and i feel like I've got to crack my back.

I feel like my back is letting me down. I'm almost benching more than im squatting and i feel disgusted in myself. (I've deloaded quite a few times from 87.5kg on my squat)

I do my exercises (apart from bench) barefoot, do you think i would benefit if i got some weightlifting shoes? I also have a belt but i dont want to use it unless i get my form right.

    Squat - 75kg
    Deadlift - 117.5kg
    OHP - 45kg
    Bench - 70kg
    Barbell rows - 60kg
